CHRISTINE MOORE SELECTED AS FEATURED ARTIST FOR SARASOTA OPEN AIR FINE ART SHOW

Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show | Artwork by Christine Adele Moore

The Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show selected my turtle painting as the featured artwork for the event scheduled for February 12-13 at Phillippi Estate Park. This painting has since been sold but I am working to complete a very similar version. It is an honor to represent this or any other show.  I feel so very grateful to be able to do what I love so much and be rewarded for it.

I have previously participated in the Sarasota Open Air Fine Art Show; once in 2020 and three times in 2021. There are typically between 80-100 artists making it a nice size without being too overwhelming for the patrons. As the featured artist, I’ll have a large and very visible spot right at the entrance of the show.

I love the location of Phillippi Estate Park and the relative smaller size of the event. Because it is in a park rather than street atmosphere, the whole experience is more relaxed and easy. But the same art-savvy, sophisticated Sarasota clientele attend this show as they do the larger street festivals. Vibe is relaxed at this park setting but with excellent visibility as it is adjacent to 41.

Sarasota is one of my favorite cities. It has a happy, sunny, cultured vibe, with a side of vacation energy. The people are sophisticated and art savvy.  The weather is almost always perfect at this time of year.
