COLLINS DUPONT PROJECTS ARE CRAZY BEAUTIFUL

I credit Collins DuPont Design Group with many of the techniques and skills that I use in my work today. In these past 23 years they have challenged me with the most incredible projects in some of the country’s most beautiful homes. They have stretched my abilities far beyond what I thought I could accomplish.

Sometimes I didn’t know if I was going to be able to fulfill or make their visions come true but, somehow, I always figured out how to do it. Everything from gluing many pieces of shaved mica flake to a massive crazy ceiling, to entire room murals. Many, many custom wall finishes, even some on the walls of an entire home. They have been so wonderful and loyal to me and I have never taken that for granted.

Although I don’t do wall finishes anymore, when I get a commission like this contemporary piece hanging over the bathtub, I am so grateful. This artwork is not my typical style and so it stretched me once again. Taught me how to think in this way and use my hands this way and that way and approach the canvas in a different manner than I ever have before. I’ve now added another tool to my toolbox, thanks to Collins DuPont interior design.

My first project with them was when I was pregnant with my first son. Nearly 23 years ago. I felt as big as a house and I remember I was wearing this crazy leopard print dress. They looked so prestigious, the interior design office and I felt so awkward and large in their beautiful and well appointed office.

The first project was from one of the founders of the organization, Sherri DuPont. It was a large project for a Bonita Springs dining room. A series of canvas murals in the style of Chinoiserie. This became the first project I would work on after my first son’s birth and I remember starting to work on it at home two weeks after he was born. It is still one of my favorite projects to this date.

It was just the first of many many incredible experience I’ve had with this wonderful team of talented designers. I am incredibly grateful for all of my time with this company.
